50th  Anniversary

Dear Praying Friends,

In three weeks we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and 50 years in the ministry!  We humbly thank the Lord for 50 years of marriage and for the privilege that has been ours to serve the Lord together as missionaries these many years.  We were married in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 17, 1955, and began our missionary service two weeks later.  We thank the Lord for each other, for our children, and for our grandchildren.  We also thank the Lord for the untold number of spiritual children that the Lord has given to us through the years.  What blessings!

To celebrate our Golden Anniversary, we are planning to drive across the United States to Alaska in a motor home, visiting relatives, friends, and missionaries along the way.  We desire to be used of the Lord as we go.  We will appreciate your prayers.  We are thankful that we are both enjoying good health.  Dotty is doing great!  “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever” (Psalm 136:1).

I just returned from Mishawaka, Indiana, where I held a week-long conference at Hillcrest Baptist Church, challenging the Christians to hold one-on-one Bible classes with unsaved people. I had the opportunity to preach in two Spanish-speaking churches in Elkhart, and in the Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa, Indiana, last Sunday.  I also had the opportunity to speak to two groups of young people at Community Baptist Christian Schools in South Bend and two groups at Elkhart Christian Schools.  We are very thankful for the many doors of opportunity the Lord is giving to us here in the Saint Petersburg-Tampa area to have Bible classes in the homes of unsaved, Spanish-speaking people.  We have had several evangelism conferences with good results.

News from Guadalajara is great!  Pastor Miguel Camacho is encouraged by the faithfulness of the brethren.  They have continued to hold 34 Bible classes with unsaved people each week, using the book,Becoming a Christian!  God is giving the increase.  The mission church in Tala (30 minutes from Guadalajara) is growing, and they are working hard to finish the construction of a small church building in that town.  We are thrilled to see how that ministry is moving forward.  Please continue to pray for them.

In closing, we want to express once again our sincere gratitude to you for your faithful prayers and financial support throughout our years of ministry.  May God richly bless you for your part in our ministries!

Gratefully yours,

Myron & Dotty
