Dear Praying Friends,

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Mexico where we ministered twenty-two days in four different places. Thank you for praying for us.

The first Saturday I preached to more than 60 people in the new mission church in Tala, located 45 miles west of Guadalajara.  The following day I preached twice in our home church in Guadalajara.  It was wonderful to see so many of our spiritual children, whom we love so dearly.

Early Monday morning we were off to the family Bible camp, which is located 1½ hours north of Guadalajara.  The theme of the camp was “Every decision we make affects our life.”  We studied the life of Abraham.  Dotty taught the children’s classes and I taught the adult classes.  Pastor Miguel and others were involved in teaching other classes to both the adults and young people during the morning hours.  I preached for two evening services.  Five children, four young people, and one adult were saved, and many other important decisions were made during that wonderful week.

We returned to Guadalajara Saturday afternoon.  There were only a few hours to recuperate our strength before the week-long Bible conference began at the church.  On Sunday morning I preached, and at the 6:30 hour each evening Dotty taught more than 80 women and teenage girls, while I taught more than 50 men and teenage boys.  Afterward, we would all meet together in the auditorium, and I had the opportunity to share God’s Word once again.  Along with other activities we visited shut-ins, and at noon we were invited to eat in different homes.  Our schedule was so full that we squeezed in a breakfast visit with another family.  On several occasions Pastor Miguel and I went to homes for counseling after the evening service.  Some tough spiritual battles were fought and won for the Lord.  Four men and one mother were saved during that week.

During the final week in Mexico, we drove to San Luis Potosí to visit a group of 12 adults meeting in a home.  For two days Pastor Miguel and I had the privilege of teaching and preaching for more than eight hours to this group of new believers.  It was a thrill to see their hunger for God’s Word.

  1. Please pray for the 15 new converts in Guadalajara.
  2. The attendance for the conference was good, with more than 300 present.  We praise the Lord for 120 brethren, who made decisions to hold one-on-one Bible classes with unsaved friends.
  3. Pastor Miguel is doing an excellent job in the ministry.  Please continue to pray for the health needs of his wife, Clemen.  It was a joy for us to stay in their home and to be an encouragement to them.
  4. We praise the Lord for the progress in the mission church in Tala.  Please pray for them.
  5. Pray for the beginnings of a new ministry in the city of San Luis Potosí.
  6. Please pray for Myron’s health.  He has a nagging cough that seems to be an allergy.
  7. Praise the Lord for the 29 opportunities that God gave me to preach.  Even though we returned home exhausted, we are thankful for the Lord’s blessings and good results during our visit to Mexico.  “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” (1 Cor. 3:6-7)    To God be the honor and glory for all He has done!

Thank you so very much for your faithful prayers and for your financial support.  We are very grateful for all you have done for us, making it possible for us to continue in the ministry.  May God richly bless you!

Sincerely in Christ,

Myron and Dotty Philippi
